Ipoh International Marathon, Anyone???

20km11

"Marathon running is a terrible experience: monotonous, heavy, and exhausting."
Veikko Karvonen, 1954 European and Boston Marathon Champ

"Marathoning is like cutting yourself unexpectedly. You dip into the pain so gradually that the damage is done before you are aware of it. Unfortunately, when awareness comes, it is excruciating."
John Farrington, Australian marathoner

DO says " Thinking of doing the Ipoh International Marathon or Half Marathon Race, 3rd July... Anyone wants the Terrible Experience and its Excruciating Feeling at the finish Line???"

Hi David,

Ipoh this year has up to 21km only. I originally wanted to go up, but now decided not to.

Application form out on the website already. Check it out.

Hi DO,
I won't be doing Ipoh this time around. But a headsup. There will be a 30K race next Jan 6th in KL. This is a warmup for the 2006 KL Marathon.

This 30K is organized by my club which recently did the premier NB 15K. So you can expect top class organization. Hope you can make the trip. More info nearer the date - check my blog.

Hi Carbo Man,

Nice to hear from you.....

We are also giving Ipoh race a miss and instead we do our MR25's 25km progressive run and in the afternoon run in The Milk Run ... a 10km events in support of an youth development supports organisation.
There is Army Half Marathon ( Sheares Bridge Run) in September which many of us will participate as it give us a good guage of our fitness and expected timings for main marathon event in December...

Looking forward to meeting you and your gangs in December Singapore Marathon and again in next year K.L marathon.

Cheers,
DO
